Key Stuff - Our Coming Discussion Meeting

TOPIC :         SHAPING LABOUR PARTY POLICY

TIME :            8pm to 9.15pm

DATE :           SUNDAY, 13th MAY

VENUE :       CONTACT CLUB, SNAPE HILL LANE, DRONFIELD S18 2GT

The Labour Party have commenced a consultation process for developing its policies. It has issued eight documents covering a range of policy areas. Individuals members, branches, constituency parties, discussion groups and affiliated bodies have until 24 June to submit their initial responses. One avenue to view the documents and then to make your own responses (or to have a pre-view for our discussions) can be found here.

This matter will be dealt with at both our May and June discussion meetings. Arising from our discussions, submissions reflecting our collective views will then be submitted via the Labour Party's official avenue.

It is hoped to have a member of the National Policy Forum with us at the above meeting. But if this does not work out, we will still pursue the matter.

Our later discussion meeting on 10 June will then pursue the issue further and will be addressed by Andy Furlong who serves on the National Policy Forum Group which deals with "Environment, Energy and Culture". But the meeting will be free to pursue wider matters.
