Clive Betts has been a Sheffield MP since 1992. He currently represents the seat of Sheffield South East. He is Chair of the Commons' Select Committee which examines the expenditure, administration and policies of the Government Department for Communities and Local Government. His Committee has recently investigated and issued reports to parliament on a range of key issues, including homelessness, business rates, local authority controls and housing matters.

Before entering parliament he was the leader of the Sheffield City Council. He will discuss aspects of the work of his Committee.
