This meeting is being held on the eve of the 160th anniversary of Keir Hardie's birth on 15 August 1856.  The speakers introducing the discussion are both regular attenders at our meetings. Ken Curran's father and grandparents knew Keir Hardie. Ken has had a long term and prominent involvement with the Labour Movement in Sheffield and with bodies such as the Manor Development Trust.  John Halstead has had a leading and long term involvement with the "Society For The Study Of Labour History" and is currently one of its Vice Presidents.
